Here at Johnson Farms, we grow over 50 acres of apples. The majority are planted as high density orchards on trellis systems. The nutrient rich land, the climate of our region, and all the TLC my husband gives make for some of the nicest apples around.

The vegetables are managed by my father-in-law. He has a “soft spot” for potatoes I think, but takes pride in growing bountiful crops and providing customers with the freshest veggies throughout the season.

We bring our apples and other fruits and vegetables to St.Jacob’s Farmers’ Market, Port Colborne, and Welland Farmers Markets. The local customers and tourists alike can enjoy produce fresh from the fields during the season, and our apples all year round, while getting to know the familiar faces of Johnson Farms.

The newest, yet long awaited adventure, is Johnson Farms Country Market. A farm gate retail store being taken on by my brother in law. Many helping hands have helped make this opportunity a reality. Now the doors are open, the shelves are filling up, and you can bring all that local goodness “from our fields to your home.”
